The
Reunion Recap
Dear Class of ‘63,
We were
delighted to welcome 81 classmates and 40 guests to our 40th
Class Reunion! Your participation made it the best reunion
EVER!
We couldn’t
have hand picked more genuinely nice, fun and interesting
classmates. Though each of us now has had different life
experiences, our high school years will forever be a part of
us. Many things change, but there is one permanency – the bond
that we share seems to grow stronger and more special with each
reunion.
The
weather cooperated at the Welcoming Party Friday night at
Susan and Roger
Edwards’ backyard. We enjoyed visiting and
reading the wonderful Reunion Yearbook that
Susan (Moorman) Edwards and Kaye
(Vernon)
Adams compiled for us.
Saturday morning, several of us toured Harding and learned of
the new Independence Charter High School at Harding to be
opened this fall. (Arrangements made possible by
Roger Edwards).
It was exciting to know that they plan to secure our
memorabilia to display at Harding. A Harding Alumni
Association is being formed in the very near future. We will
keep you updated on its development.
Lunch at Johnnies was reminiscent of our trips to the Split-T.
Coach Baxter
and a few parents were able to join us.
While we toured Harding and had lunch,
Coaches Ed Rotzinger and
Jerry Potter
joined 15 classmates for a golf tournament (organized by our
golf pro, Rick
Gentry) Awards were presented to:
