Dee Talley

Obituary

DEE TALLEY 64, of Longmont passed away Dec. 31, 2009, with her family in Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may share thoughts, memories and condolences for all of our families at www.carroll-lewellen.com.

DEE TALLEY was born in Atlanta, TX, on the fourth of July in 1945, which is why the whole country celebrates. She graduated from Harding High in 1963 before a brief stint at Oklahoma State University. She met her husband, Jay Wagner, at OSU, and they had two children before parting ways in 1986.
Dee brought cheer and good grammar to countless people as a secretary at Cherokee Hills Christian Church and ran the lives of 14 agents at the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics before retiring to Colorado a few years ago.

After 15 years of fighting it with all the spunk she could muster, which anyone will agree was a lot, she succumbed to leukemia on December 31, 2009. She is survived by her two little chickens, Jaime Washbourne and Molly Carmer (who she never quit calling Haley); their husbands, Josh and JT, respectively; and her two grandchildren, 5-month-old Rhys Blake Washbourne and 1-year-old Abigail Dee Carmer.

Anybody who encountered Dee was made better by the experience. The only people who should mourn are those who did not.
